Meditation is an unforced life skill, like with everything we teach.
So many people believe that they “can’t” meditate because they perceive traditional meditation and its disciplines as “confining”. Through The Akira Concept, we facilitate an unstructured method/version of meditation … a meditation that allows you to meditate … UnMeditation, which helps people get over the “I can’t” and find their inner peace.
UnMeditation, our variation of traditional meditation, un-complicates pre-conceived notions about breath and stillness. UnMeditation is readily accessible, attainable, and sustainable … a practice you will not only look forward to, but rely on and treasure in your life. An UnMeditation involves an unstructured approach to observing stillness associated with breath. Being aware and embracing this ideology is what makes it so useful and helpful. Whether you are concerned that you don’t have the time, can’t still your mind, or don’t understand how a stillness practice is of benefit, UnMeditation is designed to support you.
The only three “rules” that we place on UnMeditation are:
Find a relaxed position for your practice … it’s about being comfortable.
Establish a natural and free connection to your breath.
Do not judge or criticize yourself.
The potential benefits of UnMeditation include, but are not limited to: reduced anxiety and stress, increased focus, improved concentration, heightened motivation, more thorough relaxation, enhanced mood, brighter creativity, more effective pain management, a noticeable change in confidence, and a healthier balance in your nervous system.
UnMeditation is a learned skill: Practice increases the benefits … and it can change your life.
