The best thing we can do for ourselves right now is to get outside and go for a brisk walk.
It doesn’t matter the speed, time or distance … just move your body. Whether you are sedentary or active, challenge yourself to go for a walk … it is the most underrated wellness activity. If you are intentional and conscious about moving, you will reap enormous benefits from the simplicity of walking. It will elevate your mood, build stronger bones, promote lymphatic health boosting the immune system and will stimulate your metabolism. Walking can be healing and restorative and also build cardiovascular endurance.
Instead of traditional forward movement, we challenge you to get your body moving in a non-linear way … 3 dimensionally … multi-dimensionally!
Our bodies are multi-dimensional machines … we live and move in a multi-dimensional world. Going for a walk and traditional workouts typically only train the body in one dimension. How does this make any sense? The “secret” to maintaining our current fitness capacity is to train your body in all dimensions … forwards, backwards, sideways, up, down and rotationally. 3D or multi-dimensional movement builds spatial awareness, balance and enhanced mobility, strength and performance. To build optimum physical wellness, prevent injuries and overuse, and to maximize your potential, you need to be “3D strong”.
Watch David demonstrate the easiest way to incorporate 3D movement into your daily walk. Don’t worry about looking ridiculous, just keep your physical distance and pass this challenge onto others.
