Become an active citizen through your wardrobe. ~Livia Firth
Transparency is the first step to transform the fashion industry.
Fashion Revolution is a campaign for a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry. They are calling upon citizens everywhere to demand greater transparency from brands by asking #WhoMadeMyFabric? They’re also calling for producers to tell us #IMadeYourFabric, so we can connect more closely with the people who produce the fabrics and raw materials we wear. The campaign amplifies unheard voices across the fashion supply chain and harnesses the creativity of our community to explore innovative and interconnected solutions. To get involved (please do!), follow @fash_rev on social media to get live updates on the campaign and join the conversation.
Remember, with every dollar you spend, you are voting for more of the same, so…let’s spend our dollars with care. There are so many incredible people, and lovely companies to support. Together, we can use the power of fashion to inspire change and reconnect the broken links in the supply chain. Let’s slow fashion down together and call for a better, fairer, cleaner, safer, and more transparent industry – and a healthier, happier world. Fast fashion and fast consumption doesn’t work.
One simple thing to consider … even if it is conscious, eco-fashion, don’t buy it if you don’t need it. For more insight into how we shop, think, live, breathe, move, connect, rest, fuel ourselves, embrace Empathy Economics
